Kai-Yak Cove
Please inquire for approval if your group has children under the age of 10; Infants Always Welcomed.
Kai-yak Cove is a recently built luxury Caribbean-style villa in the tranquil resort neighborhood of Cayman Kai. Guests enjoy many unique features including a wrap-around veranda, a pool with a heated spa, an outdoor kitchen, and a private dock with a gazebo. The quality of the build, decor, and furnishings is first-class. The villa was recently featured on the front cover of a local home and garden magazine.
The sky blue exterior and crisp, white trim hint at the level of decor within. Wall coverings, furniture, and plantation shutters all evoke a resort-casual, beach cottage feel. With all the decor, amenities and privacy, many of our guests do not venture far from the villa during their stay. Kai-Yak Cove has two dens for quiet areas, reading, relaxing or streaming your favorite content.
The first-floor den is equipped with a large SmartTV and Sonos soundbar and a plush sectional sofa. The den connects to a full bathroom that also serves as the lower-level powder room. Pocket doors and plantation shutters add privacy and shade for watching the big game or movie. A second media room with SmartTV and Sonos on the second floor offers walk-out access to a waterfront balcony. The second-floor den is equally pleasant.
The big draw to the great room is a wall of sliding glass that affords a full view of the pool, beach and quiet cove waters excellent for paddle boarding and kayaking. Outside, a generously spaced veranda allows for shaded lounging/dining whilst enjoying the sea breeze and views.
The gourmet kitchen is a vacationing chef's dream. Kitchen-Aid appliances include a built-in main fridge and freezer, a wine fridge, a dishwasher, a wall oven, a microwave and a warming drawer that doubles as a slow cooker. Small appliances and a drip coffee maker are also provided.
The villa's private pool includes an elevated spa, plus a sun shelf for a ledge lounger. Spa heat is an optional add-on $75/day charge, year-round.
An outdoor kitchen cabana with a propane grill, icemaker and beverage fridge is perfect for island cookouts under the stars.
A sandy beachfront leads down to the villa's dock and gazebo. The cove is ideal for for watersports and there is a barefoot white sand beach directly across the street (see map tab). Newly renovated Rum Point Club is a walk away with watersports, barefoot swimming and food/beverage service.
The villa offers one bedroom suite on the first floor and three bedrooms on the second floor.
Ideal for multiple couples and families. While the owner prefers guests to be over age 10, exceptions can be approved on a case by case basis. Please inquire.

Best Vacation Ever
by MaryThis was the best vacation ever! The house was amazing! Home owner was equally as amazing! You really wouldn't have to go anywhere because the house, pool, hot tub, bay and a short walk to the Rum Point beach relax and swim or eat!!!! Can't say enough good things about this experience!!!!!
Gorgeous, Exceptional, Comfortable
by StacyThis property is gorgeous! Every detail of the house is exceptional! Comfortable, close to the beach, coffee, and restaurants. We paid for spa heat and enjoyed it everyday. The weather was perfect to enjoy the outdoor space this house provides with its large covered porch areas. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!
Best location ever!

by VictoriaBeautiful holiday getaway
by DarcyWe selected this home based on the size (there were 7 of us), quiet location, private pool and beach, and access to a local Beach Club. The villa did not disappoint! It was new, very clean and was beautifully appointed with furnishings. The beds and linens were comfortable and the kitchen included everything we needed to cook meals. The huge ice maker and extra refrigerator outside by the pool was perfect for drinks. Jennifer was a great host providing lots of information on the house before we arrived so we were prepared. She was very communicative and easy to reach during our stay when we had questions or needed suggestions on places to go. Rum Point Beach Club is a 5 min walk down the street and offers food, drinks, chairs, umbrellas and a nice swimming area. Our vacation was fantastic, we all loved kai-Yak Cove and we cant wait to return!
Fabulous and Stunning
by GaryImpeccable traditional Caymanian villa!
by TeriThis is my first review - ever - and first house rental, ever. My family of three spent a week at Kai-Yak Cove, our first time to the Caribbean. We're very particular about the details anywhere we stay. You simply will not believe the expert craftsmanship of this new, traditional Caymanian villa. It's not just that the property manager (who was very attentive and thoughtful) thought of everything, but is a multi-generation Caymanian who is clearly passionate about this home and doing things right. Yes, it's not on the strip, but rather in the serene and beautiful area of Cayman Kai. The outdoor kitchen/grill was fantastic, we ate at Kaibo a couple nights (literally about a mile from the house), the pool was immaculate, and the wrap around veranda was peaceful. Hurley's delivered twice - excellent option since it's 30 minute drive (good organic section too) and a local grocery store had essentials and decent wine/liquor. The Crystal Caves and a private boat charter (picked us up on our private pier) were the highlights and musts...and about all we did other than enjoy this wonderful home. What a great experience - thank you!
Thank you for your kind words. We hope you can come back another time soon!

The entire island is only 22 miles wide from west to east, so you are never too far from anywhere on Grand Cayman.
The cove-front homes in Cayman Kai offer serene waters for docking a rental boat, charter boat pick-up and drop-off, plus kayaking or paddle boarding with no waves.
The cove is locally referred to as Bioluminescent Bay, one of the few throughout the world and one of the island's most popular night-time tourist attractions. On a moonless night, guests can launch kayaks off the villa's dock for a bio-tour of the glowing phytoplankton—an experience not to be missed!
You get the best of both worlds at this home: a backyard facing the cove with private pool and boat dock, plus barefoot white-sand swimming across the street using the public right-of-way beach access.
All beaches in Grand Cayman are technically "public", in that you can swim anywhere along the coast, even behind the Ritz-Carlton!
The big draw to this area is the proximity to the Rum Point Club, a public beach club that offers a fantastic barefoot beach, water sports, restaurants, a gift shop, and pick-up beach volleyball games.
Also nearby is the Kaibo Yacht Club featuring a fine dining restaurant, a casual beach bar and grill, and a marina. Ferry service to Camana Bay departs from the Kaibo Marina, perfect for day trips to Seven Mile Beach!
Overall, Cayman Kai is a fabulous neighborhood dotted with million-dollar oceanfront villas and sweeping tropical views.
General Grand Cayman Beach Notes
All beaches in Grand Cayman are technically public since the Crown owns up to the high water mark.
The shoreline quality behind your property may vary slightly from the images on our website due to shifting tides and weather patterns. The next-door beach is also always available for your use.
Ocean Debris & Sargassum Seaweed
Beaches in Grand Cayman may also experience floating ocean debris and sargassum weed seasonally.
Sargassum is a generally harmless floating seaweed that has increased in frequency over the years during the summer. Our owners do make efforts to remove heavy sargassum and will have the beach raked prior to your arrival.
Should sargassum weed be extremely heavy behind your property, we will reach out to the owner for alternative solutions which may include a partial refund or relocation.
We try our best to work around mother nature.
