Escape the crowds of Seven Mile Beach for this peaceful North Side oasis. Welcome to Northern Lights, a 9-unit complex of privately owned two-story townhomes nestled in Old Man Bay.
Northern Lights #5 is one of the few 3-bedroom homes within the complex, measuring 2,400 sq. ft., and able to sleep 8 guests.
Lush tropical landscaping surrounds this small sliver of paradise with 240 feet of natural beachfront, sweeping panoramic views, and a protected coral reef teeming with marine life. Some of the island's best snorkeling and dive sites can be found right outside your door!
Alternatively, guests can relax above the waves on the shared private dock with cabana, or lounge poolside soaking in the sun and beautiful ocean views.
Inside, the downstairs layout is entirely open-concept with ocean views throughout.
A full kitchen with modern appliances overlooks a fully furnished living area with walk-out access to a screened porch. The living area has all the comforts of home with sofa seating and an entertainment center with cable television. Relax with a movie after a day of fun and sun, or kick back on the screened porch and enjoy the beautiful Caribbean views.
For indoor dining, a small dining table just off the kitchen seats four with the kitchen island seating another four guests. For meals with an ocean view, the screened porch dining table seats six guests. A propane grill is also provided for island cookouts.
Sleeping Arrangements
(Sleeps 8 guests total, 6 adults max)
- Primary Suite – upper-level, king bed, ocean views, walk-out access to a private screened balcony, ensuite bath with dual vanity, and shower.
- Guest Suite – upper-level, queen bed, garden views, ensuite with shower bath.
- Bunk Room – lower level, two sets of bunk beds that sleep 4 children or 2 adults, shares hall bathroom equipped with shower bath.
The home is equipped with central air conditioning but trade winds tend to keep the home cool throughout with multiple ceiling fans. A washer and dryer also come included on the lower level.
The owner provides a complimentary tandem kayak for guest use with a signed waiver required.
Nearby, Northern Lights is within minutes of a small grocery store, two beachfront resorts, and some of the best restaurants on the island. The airport and Seven Mile Beach are roughly a 40-minute drive away.

Excellent Stay!
by WilliamOur Stay at Grand Cayman Villas was excellent. Location can't be beat if you're looking for water front access away from the crowds. Everything was easy for my family with 3 kids. The hospitality center was very helpful and had very friendly staff. The gym and office facilities were perfect and the included snorkel gear worked really well for our group. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again in the future.

by DougBeautiful setting right on the beach was perfect for our family. Easy to relax on the patio and keep sight on kids playing in the pool and on the grounds. Beach is gorgeous. Well advertised in the listing as not a sandy beach. For what it lacks in sand, it makes up for in beauty, privacy and snorkeling. The kayaks were a great addition to the condo and allowed for fun trips to the far side of the reef that lies just 200yds off the end of the dock. The water is shallow enough for safe and easy snorkeling for the kids, yet beyond the reef is deeper and clear water that is fun for even the most advanced. The condo is a bit off the beaten path, which we LOVED. A short drive takes you to some wonderful, not to miss attractions, like Rum point beaches, starfish point, the crystal caverns and activities on the East end. A day trip to 7 mile beach is worth the drive, but after a full day of crowds and packed beaches, the escape back to the condo is perfect!

by DavePerfect location if the winds allow for snorkeling on the northside and you don’t mind being away from the 7 mile beach resort area. The dock w/ Tiki structure was perfect for getting out beyond the iron shore and a great spot to catch the sunset. Condo had plenty of room for our family of 6. Having access to a double kayak and snorkeling gear provided by GCV was also huge plus!

by CJWe stayed at Northern Lights for just over a week. It was plenty of room for our family of 4. The house was clean, the proximity to restaurants was great and we really felt like we were on vacation. We went into Georgetown and after walking around a bit we were ready to go back to the North Side. I was hesitant to snorkel because I wasn\'t sure how deep the water was but you can stand as did my 11 year old. We saw a few fish, urchin and just underwater beauty. We used the pool almost everyday. And, there was only one or two other families while we were there so it was like we had the place to ourselves. The kitchen is FULLY stocked and the rooms were a nice size. We had such a good time my teenager told us 3 times she didn't want to leave. We really felt relaxed and like were took a step back from life to regroup. My husband used the gym at Silver Thatch and said it was a good gym and he enjoyed his work out. It's about a 5 minute ride from the house.

by BillWe were so very pleased with our week stay at Northern Lights #5. The property is gorgeous and met every need that we had to have a wonderful time on Grand Cayman. We took full advantage of the pool, beach, dock, and reef areas with swimming and snorkeling each day of our stay. The condo was so well equipped, comfortable, and family friendly...this was a very memorable experience for all of us. This was our second trip to Grand Cayman. If we visit again we will definitely book our accommodations with Grand Cayman Villas and Condos.

Fully stocked kitchen and nicely furnished living room and bedrooms. With the unit being located on the North End of Grand Cayman, the location is very quiet and relaxing. Plus it is only a short drive from Rum Point. We plan on coming back again to Northern Lights #5 next year. 🙂

byThis property (Northern Lights #5) is very peaceful and quiet: A perfect place to relaxed and to rejuvenate your mind, body and soul. We had 6 people in our party and had plenty room. The kayak was a great addition, our teenage boys loved it. We had issues with the master shower and cooking stove but the property manager was working on getting both issues resolved. This place is truly beautiful an a perfect place for a family vacation, the sunsets are truly amazing, Would definitely recommend this place and I look forward to visiting the island again and staying here.

by GwenWe stayed at Northern Lights for a week in January. The condo was bright and airy — and very clean. There were amazing ocean views from the living area and master bedroom. The owners thoughtfully provided everything that we needed, including a kayak. We could not snorkel or use the kayak due to strong winter winds (which I’m told are common this time of year), but I’m sure it would be spectacular if the ocean was calm. We have rented many places around the world and this place is truly exceptional. It is situated on the quiet side of Grand Cayman, which is a plus! All you can hear at night is the ocean, and in the daytime we saw parrots. We could drive to a few beach bars in 10 minutes (Eagle Ray’s is fantastic for lion fish tacos and Over the Edge restaurant is the BEST) and were able to get to our very favorite beach, Starfish Point, in 20 minutes. Despite being a condo, it felt very private and quiet. This place is a gem!

With a central location on the island, the homes in Old Man Bay offer perhaps the best shore diving and snorkeling on all of Grand Cayman.
The beaches are mostly sand, but can also be pebbly with natural rock formations. Either way, with the varied marine life we have in the water, you will want to wear pool shoes or fins for foot protection. The beaches here offer great seashell collecting and turtle sightings in summer!
Old Man Bay is only 5 minutes from two large resorts in the east end (Morritt's and The Reef) that offer manicured beaches as well as restaurants, a modern grocery store, a liquor store, gift shops, and a cafe/pastry shop. Cayman Crystal Caves is also located in Old Man Bay.
Kurt's Korner and Over the Edge are two local restaurants about one mile away. Both serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner at reasonable prices.
About 15 minutes to the west of Old Man Bay is the famous Rum Point Club with water sports, dining options, and a barefoot beach.
General Grand Cayman Beach Notes
All beaches in Grand Cayman are technically public since the Crown owns up to the high water mark.
The shoreline quality behind your property may vary slightly from the images on our website due to shifting tides and weather patterns. The next-door beach is also always available for your use.
Ocean Debris & Sargassum Seaweed
Beaches in Grand Cayman may also experience floating ocean debris and sargassum weed seasonally.
Sargassum is a generally harmless floating seaweed that has increased in frequency over the years during the summer. Our owners do make efforts to remove heavy sargassum and will have the beach raked prior to your arrival.
Should sargassum weed be extremely heavy behind your property, we will reach out to the owner for alternative solutions which may include a partial refund or relocation.

Lower Occupancy Discounts
Owner offers lower rates for fewer guests:
- Groups of 4 or fewer guests, staying over non-holiday nights, receive a discount of $50 off the daily rate.
- Unoccupied bedrooms will be locked off for the duration of your stay.
Occupancy Discounts are automatically applied against the full base rent when entering your dates and number of guests.
Booking Rules
- 5 nights minimum stay required year-round.
- 5 nights minimum and full occupancy required over Thanksgiving.
- 7 nights minimum and full occupancy required over Christmas and New Year's week.
- Christmas & New Year's dates are split into two rental periods. Please inquire with your travel dates prior to booking.
- Shorter stays may be available but subject to a higher cleaning fee. Please inquire before booking.
- Must be 25 years or older to book and must occupy the property during the entire stay.
Villa Cleaning & Sanitation
All villas are cleaned and sanitized prior to each guest's arrival. We also ask our owners to provide a starter supply of extra cleaning products.
Additional housekeeping services can be purchased after booking in 3-hour time blocks. Scheduling may be coordinated with your property manager upon arrival.

Getting Around
A rental car is highly recommended. Taxi cabs are unreliable and expensive outside of town and Seven Mile Beach. Plus, there is no Uber or Lyft on the island.
For rental cars, we recommend Budget Cayman, Avis, or Marshalls.
