Great for our Family
by JuliaGrand Cayman Villas and Condos Ocean Kai was great for our family. We were happy with the space and had great communication and amenities with the hosts.
Wonderful Stay
by PaulaOcean Kai was a wonderful stay for our group of 12 adults with the 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. The gourmet kitchen had everything our group needed with 2 beverage coolers, a counter ice machine, and a professional oven and microwave. The large dining room tables both fit 12 people easily with plenty of dishes and silverware. The beach was nice, slighlt windy but enjoyable. Thanks for the great stay.
Fantastic Winter Getaway
by ReidOur group of four couples enjoyed a fantastic two week winter getaway in this home which is very roomy and comfortable inside and out. The property and house were exactly as described and depicted in photos with ample seating for relaxing and dining in the main living area and outside patios. The full kitchen is well stocked with cooking appliances, pots & pans, utensils, dishes, glass/plasticware, etc.
The ocean view is incredible and access to the water convenient and was used a great deal daily. The accumulating seagrass along the shore took some getting used to but did not hinder us from sitting on the shoreline for sunrises or taking walks along the beach in both directions. We were put off by the human trash (plastics, clothing, etc) that washes ashore along the north coast, primarily accumulating on the undeveloped properties.
The coastline can also be a bit rocky in spots so water shoes came in handy. We had kayaks and snorkeling equipment for the entire stay and made good use of them right from the private beach area. The pool was clean, heated and used every day, as well.
Can't say enough good things about the property manager, Steve...he was super friendly, attentive and quick to respond to questions and addressed the one or two issues promptly (a loose back door handle and the pool-heater thermostat).
We all really liked the quiet location and close proximity to Rum Point which we visited several times. For getting to the West side for dinners, we took the water taxi a couple of times from there which was a fun alternative to driving. With a rental car, we did explore the whole island and made good use of Chisolms convenient store nearby. Among other things, we also had a wonderful day-long sailing adventure with Mainstay Sailing who picked us up at Kaibo Beach at Rum Point...very convenient and a worthwhile day on the water.
No matter the activities, it was always a relaxing relief to come back to chill and play at Ocean Kai.
Nothing Short of Magical
by LetrinhOur stay at this beachfront house was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the breathtaking views and soothing sound of the waves right at our doorstep. The house itself was a dream - incredibly spacious and perfectly suited for our group of 13, with plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy. We spent many of our days lounging by the pool, which was a highlight for both the kids and adults. We also loved the easy access to snorkeling and kayaking. The property was well-maintained and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. A special shout out to Wendy and Steve, who were exceptionally responsive and ensured our stay was smooth and enjoyable! Their quick responses to any questions we had truly made a difference. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation spot. Highly recommend!
Girls Trip

by JohmA week in Paradise
by Fred and JulieWe stayed at this beautiful home for a week with our family. There were 6 adults and 4 children, ages 18 mos to 8 year old. This house execeded all our expectations. The property was clean and the view spectacular. The benefits of renting through the management company included free snorkle and fins and equipment for the 18 month old. The 6 bedrooms were all used and the layout perfect for us. The kitchen was laid out well with a beverage refridgerator for our sodas and beer. Some of the furniture was in need for replacement and we were told that the owner had ordered and was on it's way. Thanks for allowing us to share this gorgeous property.
No Home Better!!!
by EllenThis marks another wonderful stay with Grand Cayman Villas for our Grand Cayman holiday. Family of 8, all adults, room to spread out for everyone, plenty of privacy. Very large home in Rum Point. Amazing views, minimal seaweed issue, nice kayaking and snorkeling. Thank you! We look forward to our next trip and recommend Ocean Kai to everyone!
Lovely modern villa, good for a big group
by EllaThe house is modern, spacious and comfortable, and the outdoor space/view is what sells it. Each bedroom has a beautiful private bathroom and individual AC zoning. This was perfect for our group of 4 couples + an infant. Kitchen/common space is lovely and modern and the outdoor patio + pool area were beautiful so we spent the majority of our vacation at the property! The location was also great for our group - quiet part of the island but short drive to convenience stores and access to dive shops/water sports (also loved the kaibo beach bar area down the road). The property manager was very accessible, which we appreciated. There were a few not so perfect things. The seaweed build up on beach made it unusable, but the property manager made efforts to have it cleared out, however we wished this had happened sooner during stay. To their credit, this is a seasonal issue they cannot control so we did not let this affect our rating. The cleaning crew was still on-site 2.5hours beyond check-in time. Lastly, wifi did not reach any of the bedrooms - this was tough for getting work done in a private room or streaming online such as cartoons for kids. That all said, we are giving the villa 5-stars as it was as pictured online, property manager was very accessible, and we really enjoyed the property. We would come back, recommend it to others and hopefully next time we beat the seaweed takeover!
Huge Home with Best Views
by Sammy M.We have been coming to Grand Cayman for 5 years and try to stay in a different home/location each time. Ocean Kai is by far our favorite. The pictures just do not show how large the home is. The loft is perfect for kids and watching tv. The beach was a nice sand. We swam and snorkeled every day. Recommend a trip to Stingray City with Silver Thatch Charters - Joe is the best!!! I think we return to this home now.!!!
Perfect for Our Family
by RosemaryOcean Kai was perfect for our family of 12, 7 adults and 5 kids (9 and under). Location was great, quiet but close enough to enjoy many adventures. Villa was spacious and more beautiful than anticipated. Pool was great and we had to get in the gorgeous waters of the Caribbean! What a view to wake up to every morning
A Gem in Cayman Kai
by TrishMy husband and I have been renting houses yearly on the north side of Grand Cayman for the last 20 years. We like to invite relatives and friends from around the US to join us for a week at a time. Our recent stay at Ocean Kai was spectacular. All 16 guests (over a 3 week period) agreed that this was the best house we have stayed in. We particularly liked the fact that all 5 bedrooms were on the first floor since most of us were over 60. The pool was beautiful, with plenty of room and well tended to weekly by the pool service. The abundance of chaise lounges was appreciated. We spent quite a bit of time enjoying the patio eating and sitting areas (nicely shaded). Good snorkeling out to the reef. Good water flow in the showers, not always the case. We definitely plan to rent Ocean Kai again. As always, Jim was great about responding immediately to the small problem we had and made sure it was immediately corrected. My only complaint would be that the TV does not have as many stations as other houses we have stayed in. However, the internet connections were better than most.

Ocean Kai is only a mile east of the famous Rum Point Club and enjoys a sandy beach and excellent snorkeling.
The entire island is only 22 miles wide from west to east, so you are never too far from anywhere on Grand Cayman.
The homes on the oceanfront in Rum Point offer great reef-protected snorkeling. The beaches usually have plenty of white sand, but also can have spots of rocky “ironshore” with natural rock formations.
The closer you get to Rum Point, usually the sandier the beach as well as swimming. Either way, with the abundant marine life we have in the water, you will want to wear pool shoes or fins for foot protection. The trade winds from the east also make flying insects less of a nuisance—many of the homes in Rum Point don’t even need a screened porch.
The big draw to this area is the proximity to the Rum Point Club, a public beach club that offers a fantastic barefoot beach, many water sports, a restaurant bar and grill, a gift shop, and pick-up beach volleyball games. Also near Rum Point is the Kaibo Yacht Club restaurant, bar and marina.
Lastly, we have 2 large resorts in the east end (Morritt's and The Reef) that offer manicured beaches as well as restaurants, a modern grocery store, liquor store, gift shops, a Subway sandwich shop, and a cafe/pastry shop. These two resorts also offer scuba, snorkel trips, jet skis, windsurfing, kiteboarding, ocean front pools and bar service.
General Grand Cayman Beach Notes
All beaches in Grand Cayman are technically public since the Crown owns up to the high water mark.
The shoreline quality behind your property may vary slightly from the images on our website due to shifting tides and weather patterns. The next-door beach is also always available for your use.
Ocean Debris & Sargassum Seaweed
Beaches in Grand Cayman may also experience floating ocean debris and sargassum weed seasonally.
Sargassum is a generally harmless floating seaweed that has increased in frequency over the years during the summer. Our owners do make efforts to remove heavy sargassum and will have the beach raked prior to your arrival.
Should sargassum weed be extremely heavy behind your property, we will reach out to the owner for alternative solutions which may include a partial refund or relocation.
We try our best to work around mother nature.

For rental cars, we recommend Budget Cayman, Marshalls, or Hertz.
