Sea Orchard Retreat offers individuals, couples, families, and small groups the opportunity to combine a relaxing Caribbean vacation with watersports, eco-excursions, and wellness treatments from private vendors for massage, yoga, and more! We maintain a complete list of preferred vendors for many activities, excursions, and wellness services.


We are a gated oceanfront boutique of finely decorated cottages on the quiet northern coast of Grand Cayman, located only 10 minutes from the watersports, golfing, dining, and leisure attractions of Seven Mile Beach. The shops of George Town & Camana Bay are also only a short drive away.


Sea Orchard Retreat offers four private two-bedroom and two-bathroom cottages with a large resort pool with a heated spa, plus an on-site gym, oceanfront inspiration cabanas, and seaside lounging hammocks. Our managers can arrange group airport transportation, or they can help arrange a rental car should you desire** (see restrictions below). 


Papagallo Restaurant is within walking distance and the new Kimpton Seafire Resort & Spa is only 5 minutes by car. We are also only a 5-minute walk from Barkers Beach, an oceanfront nature conservancy where nesting turtles, birds, and other fauna are all protected and kiteboarding is popular.


Sea Orchard is also a popular venue for destination weddings, counseling groups, spiritual retreats, yoga retreats, and small informal gatherings. We aim to accommodate our guests' needs!


Destination weddings require the full rental of at least 2 cottages, plus an event fee and a refundable security deposit. Email us directly for full details.


The resort usually requires a 3-night minimum stay, however, during low season the owner may consider shorter "staycation" bookings. Please inquire for further details.


The entire property can sleep a maximum of 26 guests, 18 adults max due to licensing restrictions. We have proper sleeping beds for 16 adults and rollaway beds and sleeper sofas that can accommodate the rest.

Pomegranate Cottage

The property boasts 400 feet of natural shoreline on a reef-protected marine park. While it has a sandy beach, that is raked periodically, it is not a barefoot swimming beach. However, guests are provided both complimentary water shoes and snorkeling equipment, along with kayaking gear, to explore the waters.

Perfect place for extended family vacation

We stayed for a week and had a great time! There was plenty of room for our group of 20 (including 3 young kids) to have alone time or gather for meals and game time. It is about an hour drive to get to Rum Point but worth it. Great opportunity to see all the island has to offer. We made a day of it and had lunch at Tukka\'s, visited the Parrot Sanctuary - a must with the kids, went to Queen Elizabeth Gardens, saw the blow holes and had dinner at Rum Point. The bioluminescence bay is a must see! We cooked a few nights but every restaurant we ate at was amazing - never a bad meal anywhere! If you are looking for a sandy beach, this might not be a place for you but a short walk down the beach, you can find plenty of sandy beaches.

The Best!

I have been to several Vrbo sites in the Caribbean, but this was this was the best. The cottages were clean, comfortable and well decorated. The beach although rocky was nice and clean. The water was shallow and crystal clear up to about 50 yards out. The manager and staff were very helpful and accommodating.

The staff was wonderful, accommodating, and helpful! Should we decide to visit the Cayman Islands again, this is where we will be staying!. Don’t stay anywhere else. this is the place!

Grand Cayman Paradise

Our family had the opportunity to stay at the Sea Orchard Retreat, for nine days. It was more incredible than the posted pictures of the property. We woke up daily to the sounds of the sea, observed sunrise and sunset, all in a very private setting. Our family had their privacy, and a short walk to the pool, hot tub, grills, & ocean and we were together. We were close to 7 mile beach and other places that we wanted to visit for fishing, boating and Turtle rescue, etc. We had Chef Remy in for a tremendous meal, and an outdoor table that could handle 22+ people. We celebrated my wife\'s 70th birthday and everyone in our group had the time of their lives. Thanks to the staff at Sea Orchard Retreat for their daily work....

Beautiful Property

Sea orchard resorts was a great place. The homes were all equipped with a full kitchen, and plenty of towels. The property was beautiful. Hot tub was not as hot as you would want but it worked. Daniel kept the pool clean on the windy days. Overall the experience was great. This part of the island was extremely windy during our stay so we didn’t get to use the kayaks like we wanted. But beautiful overall.

Definitely Recommend Staying Here

My family rented all the cottages out for our annual family vacay and we had an absolute blast! The beach’s views are absolutely breathtaking. We took the kayaks and paddle boards almost every day. All the cottages had full kitchens which was very nice because we were able to cook dinner at the retreat a couple of nights. Everything was super clean upon arrival and the staff there were extremely responsive and welcoming. I would definitely recommend staying here if you take a trip to the Cayman Islands!

Outstanding Property for a Family Reunion

Location, Location, Location! Far enough away from the crowds but so close to everything. The 4 homes (all 2BD / 2BA) are spacious, updated and have everything you need. The pool with all the chairs / umbrellas was used numerous times daily. The grounds and large and well kept. The kayaks, paddleboards, and misc gear was nice to have for the kids. The beach here is not a swim beach, but some are so close -- the beach does need to be cleaned of sea grass. The new Fosters grocery store is within 5 minutes. Complex is gated and very safe. You will want a car staying here. AC worked very well. Washer and Dryer in each unit with detergent. Plenty of beach towels provided. We chartered a boat for 6 hours (4 snorkel stops and string ray city -- one of the best day trips we did). Vic, Daniel, and staff were amazing. You\'ll love this place for large groups / family reunions.

Exactly as Advertised!

This property was exactly as advertised and worked very well for our extended family of 19. The cottages were great and everyone enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The beach was small and rocky, especially when the water was high, but we could walk along the beach and play in the sand. Vic who was onsite daily was helpful and cheerful and made the stay more pleasant. The location was good for the things we wanted to do. We spent part of one day traveling to other parts of the island to see Queen Elizabeth\'s Garden and the Crystal Caves and it was very manageable. We would stay there again if we travel to Grand Cayman in the future.

Wonderful Stay!

We absolutely loved Sea Orchard Retreat! The location was perfect as it was close enough to everything, but just far enough away to feel private. The houses were very nice and had all the extras we needed! We enjoyed the huge pool and hot tub, using our swim shoes and exploring the ocean, taking out the kayaks and paddle boards, and the best part of all was the snorkel gear they provided which we used all week around the island. Perfect set up for a large group of families to enjoy this beautiful island. Vic, the caretaker for the property, was absolutely lovely and answered all of our questions and more. Highly recommend this wonderful property!

Serene getaway

Four girlfriends rented mango cottage for a long weekend. What an amazing place and quiet location. We had all of the space and everything we needed at the cottage and most restaurants were a 10-15 min taxi ride away. We can’t wait to return with more friends and rent out this entire place. The friendliness of this place and the island in general was so welcoming and we felt safe everywhere we went. The charter boat to snorkel and swim with stingrays was also a highlight. We rented the entire Sea Orchard Retreat property for our wedding for 6 days. the entire property was wonderful. each cottage was well equipped for the entire time we were there. the property itself was well maintained and clean. the property maintenance worker was there daily and readily available for anything we needed. the location is quiet and very nice for a relaxing getaway yet close enough to a grocery store and a really nice restaurant within walking distance. couldn\'t of asked for anything more during our stay.

Great Group Vacation

Book the Stay!

Book the stay! Trust me you will not regret it. Everything was great from the moment I arrived. Be sure to rent a car, due to Uber and Lyft not being available. The property itself is amazing, secluded, and beautiful. Great views of the oceans and several nooks to relax and unwind. If I return I’ll be sure to stay here again. Kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly need to make a good meal. Everything was within a 15-20 min drive including the airport. BOOK THE STAY!

The Perfect Island Retreat

This is my 3rd time visiting the Sea Orchard property and every time I can feel the excitement of my first time. This property is definitely a private Oasis outside of the main tourist hotel strip, but still close enough to enjoy everything Cayman has to offer. I am a life coach that host retreats and this property with the 4 seperate villas is perfect for that. So whether you use the property for business or a large family gathering it is designed for lots of time together by the pool or in one of the sitting areas overlooking the ocean or guest can find a quiet spot to take in the beauty and ocean air. The booking staff was perfect and easy to communicate with. We easily booked excursions and next time I plan to have on site spa services during my stay. There is so much you can do with this rental property and waking up to blue water views right outside your window is amazing all by itself. This is still my favorite go to property whenever I bring a group of people to Cayman.

Family vacation

Sea Orchard retreat was a perfect set up for our family vacation of 15 adults and 5 children. We booked all 4 cottages and had the facility to ourselves. Vic, the manager, was available and tended to our needs. She is wonderful! The facilities and housing/kitchens are modern and clean. To have coffee in the pavilion looking north at the sea is amazing. Highly recommend! And West Bay is very close to downtown and others areas.

Fantastic Cottages

This property was more than advertised. I’ve stayed in quite a few condos and timeshares and was spoiled by Sea Orchard Retreat. Beautiful property, amazing amenities and fantastic cottages. The service was impeccable with so many little touches that no one in our diverse group of seventeen had any negatives to say which is saying a lot for our group. Many small and unique aspects and amenities that surprised us all such as fishing poles, snorkel equipment and small things like a terrific spice rack and laundry detergent.

An Amazing Wedding Weekend!

What an amazing experience! Without exception, the guests LOVED our extended wedding weekend at Sea Orchard. So nice to have the property to ourselves occupying all four wonderful cottages, and having a pool and hot tub to ourselves. The wedding was held on the lawn at one end with vows overlooking the ocean. Overhead strings of lights that we had installed for the event made the area beautiful by night as well. Fantastic photos captured the unforgettable experience. The cottages were nicely decorated. Amenities provided everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. The area was quiet and so relaxing. My only regret is that I didn\'t get a chance to use the provided ocean kayaks and paddle boards - we ran out of time!

Perfect stay!

Sea Orchard is a very peaceful property, surrounded by nature (lots of trees and the sea view). We had a great stay there. The host was very accommodating and tried to fix all the little issues we had as soon as she could. The property was cleaned properly before our stay and all of our requests (extra beds placements etc.) were dealt with prior our arrival. We would definitely book another stay there.

It’s hard to put into words how perfect The Sea Orchard was for our celebration. We traveled with 17 women for a birthday celebration and the location, property, accommodations, and amenities were perfect for us! Fiona was so accommodating and lovely! She helped us identify catering service and stocking service. The location was amazing and views from the Villas were stunning. The pictures online are good but the actual view of the water are hard to capture in a picture. We had dinner by the pool one night and the view and weather was perfect. One night we are at Papagallas which is waking distance and was such a great experience. Thank you for making this one of the most amazing trips for all of us.

Cayman Paradise

We loved our stay at Sea Orchard Retreat. It was perfect for our group of 12 as each cottage is equal in size and quality. Everyone had privacy yet we could get together as a group at the pool or one of the cottages. The grounds and pool area are very large and airy with plenty of seating, shade and places to relax. The amenities in each cottage were very good. We liked the local Italian restaurant a lot, you can walk to it in less five minutes. I think it is called Papaguyo. We charted a couple of boat trips with Crystal Charters which we really enjoyed. Very easy to drive to 7 Mile Beach and local shops. We hired a personal chef for a couple of nights, she was fabulous. The manager was available when we needed her and very helpful. The property is well maintained and very clean. I highly recommend this property for families or small groups.

Great Luxurious Property!!

This luxurious property was absolutely perfect for our group gathering. Everyone had their own bedroom suite, view of the ocean, access to the pool, outdoor relaxation areas and more. The onsite staff was extremely helpful and accommodating with all of our need - both leading up to the trip, and while onsite. They provide ocean toys (paddleboards, snorkel gear, etc.) and we found a Yoga instructor to come teach on the property. Seven mile beach is a short cab ride away, to oceanfront hotels, dining and nightlife. I would highly recommend this paradise to groups who want to escape together, but want their own private lodging accomodations. It\'s amazing!

Fantastic for Large Groups/Families

The sea orchard is had everything we look for in a vacation rental. We have rented houses across Mexico, Central America and the United States and this is one of our favorites. We have a large family and filled up all 4 cottages. Everything we needed was on the property. We could definitely tell it was a resort at some point because it had a bed a breakfast feel. Even if you don\'t rent every cottage, you still will have plenty of privacy. A couple things to think about if you rent here: 1) There isn\'t really a \"beach\" to have kids play on but there is plenty of sandy areas around the property that the kids are able to play in 2) The location is only walking distance to one restaurant. Either use a grocery service or rent a car. I would recommend renting a car as taxi rides get expensive quickly 3) Two of the cottages have a room with 2 twin beds. Was not a problem for our family but be sure you know which one you are renting. Overall our experience was fantastic. They even provided multiple high chairs and pack and play/roll away beds for our little ones. There were plenty of toys and floaties in the cabinets next to the pool so no need to bring much. One of the best ones out there!

Fiona and the Sea Orchard Retreat are wonderful. The villa was as described and the view from the Avocado Cottage was even better than the pictures. The villa was clean, beautifully decorated, and filled with everything you need from beach towels, cooking supplies, beach chairs, kayaks, toiletries, etc. The villa was in a very quiet/private location, but still close to SMB and the other areas of the island.

Gorgeous Property - hidden gem!

Sea Orchard Retreat is an absolutely stunning property! We chose it for our wedding and could not have been happier with how everything turned out. It features four 2 bedroom cottages, each fully equipped with full kitchens, which was not only great for us, but great for our caterers too during our dinner service. Each of the cottages are gorgeously decorated and the master bedrooms feature a huge master bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained, loads of trees which offer plenty of privacy if needed but lots of common space if you decide to stay with a large group like we did. The pool area is great; centrally located on the property and fully kitted out with lounge furniture and tables and chairs, which worked perfectly for a family BBQ after the wedding. The property is located in West Bay, near several fantastic restaurants including Ristorante Papaggallo, Calypso Grill, Catch and Macabuca. The bypass means that you can easily access Camana Bay and Seven Mile Beach as well, though it certainly helps to have a car. Fiona was fantastic, she was always super responsive and willing to help out however she could to help make our stay amazing. We recommend Sea Orchard Retreat to anyone who is looking for a relaxing and one-of-a-kind stay on the island! We will be back for sure!

A Fantastic Small Resort

Our group of 6 couples rented all 4 cottages at the Sea Orchard Retreat, and we had a great stay at this intimate beachfront resort. The pool area is wonderful with plenty of lounges and tables/chairs and we spent hours poolside tanning, playing cards, enjoying music, and eating some meals. The cottages are very modern and have a great layout with a king bedroom on one side and a queen or 2 twin bedroom on the other side, providing very good privacy for every couple. Each unit has a full kitchen and washer/dryer, enabling us to eat some meals in and also do some laundry. A nice audio/video setup allows you to watch TV via AppleTV, or play music throughout the cottage due to speakers in all of the rooms. The Wifi was strong, and cellphone service was adequate. This is a very private, quiet resort, allowing you to have a very relaxing experience or to be a bit rowdy without worrying about disturbing the neighbors. We arranged for massages one day that were done in a small cabana down by the beach, and this was an amazing, relaxing experience for the wives. There are also excellent amenities such as kayaks, snorkeling gear, water shoes, plenty of beach towels, etc. You are only a short walk to the Pappagallo Restaurant where we had a couple of fantastic dinners. I would absolutely recommend this resort for groups like ours, and also for smaller groups that may take 1-2 cottages.

Sea Orchard Retreat is a gated oceanfront boutique resort with 4 well-decorated 2 bed/2 bath villas surrounding an oceanfront pool and heated spa.  The natural beach here is sandy, however the shoreline can often be pebbly & rocky as one enters the water to snorkel.  Our guests will use our kayaks to access the shallow snorkeling reef and coral heads.

Sea Orchard Retreat is less than 10 minutes from the barefoot swimming on Seven Mile Beach as well as all the restaurants, resorts and watersports offered.

All beaches in Grand Cayman are technically public since the Crown owns up to the high water mark.

The shoreline quality behind your property may vary slightly from the images on our website due to shifting tides and weather patterns. The next-door beach is also always available for your use.

Ocean Debris & Sargassum Seaweed

Beaches in Grand Cayman may also experience floating ocean debris and sargassum weed seasonally.

Sargassum is a generally harmless floating seaweed that has increased in frequency over the years during the summer. Our owners do make efforts to remove heavy sargassum and will have the beach raked before your arrival. 

Should sargassum weed be extremely heavy behind your property, we will reach out to the owner for alternative solutions which may include a partial refund or relocation.

Villa Cleaning & Sanitation

All villas are cleaned and sanitized prior to each guest's arrival. We also ask our owners to provide a starter supply of extra cleaning products.

Additional housekeeping services can be purchased after booking in 3-hour time blocks. Scheduling may be coordinated with your property manager upon arrival.

Getting Around

A rental car is highly recommended. Taxi cabs are unreliable and expensive outside of town and Seven Mile Beach. Plus, there is no Uber or Lyft on the island.  

For rental cars, we recommend Budget Cayman, Avis, or Marshalls.
