Experience luxury living at The Sands on Seven Mile Beach. Located just north of the Kimpton Resort, The Sands is convenient to grocery stores, gourmet restaurants, five-star resorts, and an array of snorkeling and scuba excursions. 


This oceanfront jewel offers six spacious 4-bedroom residences with dazzling ocean views. A deep list of unique amenities includes a rooftop terrace with a fitness center, shared pool, and dedicated yoga space. A private gated sundeck includes beachfront loungers and umbrellas. Guests can access the beach by using the stairs at the end of the road towards the gas station.


Accessible by elevator from each residence, the exclusive rooftop terrace features a private cabana for each residence—an unprecedented feature in Cayman residential development. The Sands boasts one of the largest rooftop pools on Grand Cayman with mesmerizing touch-the-sky views overlooking Seven Mile Beach.  


The Sands ensures rooftop accessibility for all guests with a wheelchair-accessible elevator plus a wheelchair lift to access the pool deck and cabanas. 


Each 4-bedroom condo is designed for maximum privacy. With only two residences per floor, each condo is a corner unit with north or south-facing views. All condos have floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that open to a large, glass-railed balcony. Each residence includes two complimentary underground parking spaces. 


The chef’s kitchen, with top-of-the-line appliances and quartz countertops, is a culinary dream. A separate wine bar comes equipped with a sink and a beverage fridge.

  • Bedroom 1: primary suite, king bed, partial ocean views, walk-in closet, guest safe, ensuite with dual vanity, soaking bathtub, and separate shower.

  • Bedroom 3: queen bed, partial ocean views, closet, ensuite with shower.

Traveling families may request complimentary Pack 'n Plays, high chairs, and other amenities to enhance their stay.


Light housekeeping is provided on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday to ensure an effortless five-star stay. Premium linens, toiletries, bathrobes, plus bath and beach towels are all provided. Additional housekeeping may be arranged upon arrival for a fee.


The Sands is a non-smoking property and does not allow pets, ensuring a fresh, clean environment for all guests.

Second Time at the Sands

This was my second time staying at The Sands in Grand Cayman, and it was just as amazing as the first. The views were absolutely beautiful and never get old. The unit itself was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The host was extremely friendly, attentive, and easy to communicate with, which made the stay even better. Everything from the location to the overall experience was excellent. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Grand Cayman.

First Time, but Not Last!!!!

t’s our first time staying at The Sands Residence! Wow! 4 giant bedrooms, a dream like kitchen and all new high end appliances. I can’t overstate how amazing this place is. We wanted to stay in a hotel but had 2 kids and extended family and when we compared the prices this is a no brainer. Views of the beach out of every window. A gated parking spot and even a rooftop pool. We have been going to Cayman for over 20 years and this is the best family or large group option we have ever seen!

Stunning, Absolutely Stunning

My partner and I booked The Sands for our first trip ever to the Cayman and I must say… this place is awesome. We stayed in unit #1 and the apartment is absolutely gorgeous. Spacious, extremely well thought of, and as convenient as can be for our first trip to the island. The decor is so cool!! The rooftop pool area is a great place to start the day. We then found ourselves at the beach deck most afternoons. The ocean in front of the property is perfect. I like snorkeling and was surprised with the variety of underwater views. You can enjoy world class diving right off the beach, with turtles and schools of fish. There’s convenience and grocery stores close by, and a small beach shack restaurant right next door which serves fresh sea food. Getting to Camana bay and George Town way so easy, and we did some more exploring around West Bay which is also very cool. I couldn’t be happier with my stay here, we will definitely be coming back.

Stunning Property- Hidden Gem

Our family of 4 loved our recent stay at the Sands.  The pictures do not do justice to the beauty & comfort of the apartment.  No detail was left out and all the rooms and kitchens are filled with valued extras (glass and plastic dishes, wine fridges, plenty of hangers/drawers for clothing etc).  While it’s our first time on the Island, we believe the location is a hidden gem.  Its proximity to Camana Bay for business and the 7 mile chain resorts for fun & restaurants, is balanced with a relaxed “residential” setting and what felt like a private beach. The snorkeling right out front was the best of our entire trip- schools of fish, small stingrays and puffer fish etc.   Groceries, convenience stores etc. are all a quick walk from the property.  Make sure to enjoy an evening cocktail on the roof- a spectacular view of the 7 mile beach. The Sands was a luxury stay that we will be talking about for years to come.

The Best!!!!

I travelled to the Cayman for a part work/part vacation trip.  I stayed at the Sands travelling with a business partner and her young family.  The condo was so well laid out and my room, at the end of the hall, felt like its own “unit” providing privacy when needed.  The large living space and deck provided plenty of space for us to work/eat/play and generally enjoy each other’s company.  The kitchen was well stocked with everything we’d need as well as storage for groceries.  The laundry facilities in the suite were a huge plus. 

 

The location at the end of 7 mile beach was ideal, close to Camana Bay for my meetings and near the resorts, restaurants and various activities for playtime but far enough away to enjoy more relaxed downtime. My personal favorite was the Heritage Kitchen, located right next door, serving fresh authentic Cayman style fish beachside!  We joked it was like having our own personal chef included in the stay.

 

The snorkeling and sandy beaches were ideal and felt like they were just for us.  If we didn’t want to get too sandy, the rooftop pool and cabanas were a great place to read a book, take a dip, and enjoy the 365 degree view of the island, up 7 mile beach all the way around to rum point.  The Sands offers a luxury stay whether you are traveling with family, friends or couples.

The Sands sits at the northern tip of Seven Mile Beach, approximately one mile north of the Kimpton Resort.

Guests at The Sands benefit from exclusive access to a private Beach Deck equipped with sun loungers and sunbrellas. To access the sandy beach, use the stairs at the end of the road towards the gas station. 

The beach directly in front of The Sands may widen and narrow seasonally.  7 Mile Beach, just north of The Sands, is more consistent throughout the year. The northern beach does have stair access from Boggy Sand Road.

Booking Rules

  • Minimum night stay requirements vary throughout the year.
  • 6-night minimum over Thanksgiving week.
  • 7-night minimum over Christmas & New Year's weeks.
  • Christmas & New Year's are split into two rental periods. Please inquire about your travel dates before booking.
  • Inquire about long-term rental discounts.

The Sands Policies

  • Check-in is 3:00 p.m. 
  • Check-out is at 10:00 a.m.
  • All units are non-smoking.
  • No pets are allowed on the property. 
  • No parties, weddings, or events are permitted without written approval from the property manager. 
  • We ask all guests to be considerate when enjoying the pool and outdoor areas by keeping the noise to a minimum. 

Deposit Policy

  • A 50% deposit of Rent is required at booking to secure your dates.
  • The remaining balance is due as follows:
    • January to Mid April Stays: 60 days before arrival. 
    • Mid April to Mid December Stays: 30 days before arrival.
    • Winter Holiday Stays: 90 days before arrival.

Cancellation Policy

  • Notice of cancellation must be submitted by email to reservations@grandcaymanvillas.com 
  • Free cancellation within 48 hours of booking, no processing fee.
  • Cancellations before the final payment due dates below are fully refundable, less a US$200 processing fee:
    • January to Mid April Stays: 60 days before arrival. 
    • Mid April to Mid December Stays: 30 days before arrival.
    • Winter Holiday Stays: 90 days before arrival.
  • If cancellation is made on shorter notice than outlined above, all rent and service fees will be forfeited. Taxes and any equipment rental fees collected will be refunded.
  • No refunds for shortened stays within the cancellation period.

Getting Around

Taxi service is reliable along Seven Mile Beach but can run expensive if you are the exploring type. Plus, there is no Uber or Lyft on the island.

A rental car is recommended if you plan to venture beyond Seven Mile Beach. 

For rental cars, we recommend Budget Cayman, Avis, or Marshalls.
